About Me

February 01, 2010 @ 05:09 PM by nap · 0 comments

I'm a web application developer and co-founder of Mogoterra. I specialize in all things Ruby and Ruby on Rails. I'm also pretty handy with Java, C, and JavaScript. I've done a bit of Flash work too, but I don't usually like to talk about that.

I live in Portsmouth NH, about an hour north of Boston in the US. I'm married to a cute redheaded girl (well, sometimes she's a brunette). I like indie rock, indie films, indie comic books, Apple computers and all things UN*X. I have a dog. He's Welsh.

If you hang out on freenode in or around the #rubyonrails channel, you might know me as 'zapnap'. If I've helped you out there, or if you've found my blog to be useful, please recommend me on WorkingWithRails. I contribute to various open source projects, I've taught classes and spoken at Ruby-related events, and co-wrote a book about Rails plugins. I'm also the organizer of both the NH Ruby User Group and the Rails Rumble innovation competition. I am not, however, a snappy dresser.

If your voyeuristic tendencies still aren't satisfied, additional information and links are available at my freelance company site or my personal website :).
